raster image in mapserver

i have worked on mapserver using vector data but i have to work on raster data. iam not having any idea on that. so plz send sample raster data(any format) and related mapfile. and also i have istalled ms4w and chemaleon, is any thing is required other than that for raster image? is mapsserver sopports ecw format? tell me the raster supported formats in mapserver. plz reply me.its very urgent
