Pavement survey implementation

I know I am supposed to be specific...BUT

I am working as part of a research team on pavement study. I need to visually display survey data in Arcmap.

The surveys consist of x transverse measurements every y longitudinal feet. I need to pick the longitudinal measurement location of the road polyline (figured that out already) and then create features to represent the traverse measurements. These features could be points or polygons.

I have been stuck on this for some time and really need to start making progress! Thanks, Ryan
