How to publish a self made shapfile on web by any open source mapserver.

I am very new in GIS web mapping and all. Right now I am working on qgis to make maps and I have shapfile format of my maps.

                But not i want to show that maps on my website. So i need to setup a map-server on my web-server but exactly i do not know how to do that. So first help me to find that any open source map-server to setup on my web-server. and help me in to step by step process of setup and uploading my shapfile on that map-server. After that how can I publish that map on my website. I have knowledge of PHP, and .net and java. 
Please provide proper reference and any material which can helpful for me .
